The soon-to-be-mother refuses to let her partner

make the final decision on naming their children

because her partner seriously wanted to name

their daughter after a character

from one of his favorite

video games…

Mother’s Day happening soon (2nd Sunday of May)

reminds me of these thoughts that I’m sharing today.

This poem Soon-To-Be-Mother was in a Milpitas Post issue;

the memory of my poem still does continue.

The alphabet can amuse in at least one possible way:

through its two letter sequence that is jk.

Jk is another way of saying “Just kidding”

and makes letters seem more capable of ribbing

(or being playful, joking, not too serious).

Reading can be a fun learning experience…

Alphabet Magnet Day (9th of May)

reminds me of these thoughts that I’m sharing today.

This post (while near its end) is not done yet.

My poem has a name;

it’s Alphabet.

Featherstone: An Anthem to My Pillow

Oh my trusty pillow!

You are truly my best friend.

You are more reliable

than any popular trend.

You let me hold you however I want to.

You let me slobber all over your surface.

You don’t judge me when I have bad breath.

You calm me when I am nervous.

Pillow, you’re so damn comfortable!

You’re my hero, a champion cushion.

Your softness can even rival

the silky softness of a woman’s bosom.

And if I ever say something stupid

I can hide my face within you.

Pillow, you’re my psychic band-aid

whenever I make a boo-boo.

Poem on Your Pillow Day (earliest Tuesday in May)

reminds me of these thoughts that I’m sharing today.

This poem Featherstone: An Anthem to My Pillow was (years ago) in a Milpitas Post issue.

The memory of my poem still does continue.

If Jodie Foster became Princess Leia,

her name could sound like Jedi daughter and Jedi Forcer…

Leia got cornered, opposed the First Order…

Thinking Luke was shorter, on an orbiter,

Leia is a warrior. Rebels support her.

Similar sounds and roles may gravitate towards a performer:

Star Wars Day (4th of May) and even Revenge of the Fifth (5th of May)

remind me of these thoughts I’m sharing today.

If Jodie Became Leia is the name of this poem

about a role that Carrie Fisher owns.

And while this post may feel 2 days late,

I’d rather post this now than have to wait.

A customer continues shopping in a store even though it’s closed…

Maybe that customer is really a ghost

or a nightmare since that customer is supposed to be gone,

yet keeps wanting, haunting, lingering on…

So does that mean a ghost can also be a customer?

Perhaps, sometimes (?), and/or I’m not sure…

Hours of operation are like life or being awake.

Hospitality has its limits, so considerateness is great.

National Paranormal Day (3rd of May)

reminds me of these thoughts that I’m sharing today.

This non-italic poem Customer was in a Milpitas Post issue;

the memory of my poem still does continue.

And while I did not submit the 4 italic sentences (after “lingering on”) to Milpitas Post,

part of me wishes that I did. They can feel like a ghost.

Pogo stick crutches for recovering kangaroos

could be enjoeyable

(in and out of zoos).

World Veterinary Day (final Saturday in April)

and We Jump The World Day (29th of April)

remind me of these thoughts (in this post: they’re its staple).

This poem Bounce Back was in a Milpitas Post issue;

the memory of my poem still does continue.

And while I did not submit that line with zoos to Milpitas Post,

part of me wishes that I did. It can feel like a ghost.
